Intellivision Amico – a strange console with an eye on a family audience. They were going to release it back in 2020, but have not yet given birth. But games for Amico can already be bought – not only in the expensive physical edition, and even with the use of fashionable words "blockchain" and NFT.

Games are decorated in the form of collection versions and divided into sets. There are in the box with each game:

A couple of tricks are connected with cards. The game itself is not recorded on them: the owner of the copy needs to bring the card to Amico so that the console considers the necessary data through RFID and downloads the game itself from the network. The Internet connection will be needed only once – after that the game can be launched offline.

Each copy of the https://wizzspincasino.co.uk/games/ game is also NFT and is part of the blockchain. With the help of NFT, digital products are usually “signed” and thereby allow the transfer of ownership to the original file. Why is it necessary for the Amico family console, is not specified – Intellivision only mentions that NFT will make the collection versions "more desirable".

Copies are divided into three sets: Volume 1 and Volume 2 (four games in each; $ 79.99), as well as Complete Bundle (all eight games at once; $ 149.99). This is not pre -order – the products are already ready to send.

Amico is positioned as a platform for the whole family, where there is no microtransactions, DLC and patches, and all games (at least at the start) cost no more than $ 9.99 and are suitable for children from 10 years old. In addition, Amico is supplied with two wireless controllers with the screen – a kind of miniature versions of the WII U gamepad.

Infopol around Amico is unhealthy: for example, in the summer material came out from ARS Technica, where damp data from the portal were disassembled for console developers. It turned out that the characteristics of iron in Amico are comparable to the phone for $ 100 from 2016, but Intellivision going to sell his device for $ 249.99.

The Amico library is also not impressive: the games noticeably interfere with the technical framework, and the business of the conditions is unlikely to attract indie developers-there are many restrictions, the future of the platform is dubious, and the resulting share from sales is only about 50 %.

For us, Amico and I can discharge only by an exclusive new part EarthWorm Jim, But it still looks slurred. The console launch has been transferred three times already; Now the release dates are not specified, but this year it seems that Amico will not work out.
